AquaJet Drainage Ltd provide a complete drain repair service. One of our most common repairs is gully replacement which often involves excavation to expose the old drains to investigate the repair.
AquaJet Drainage Ltd also offer a complete drain construction and alteration service which includes a pressure test on completion to ensure all work is of the required standard.
We also build and repair brick access chambers, also known as a man hole, which is used as an intersection of drains for inspection and rodding.
Drains can sometimes become displaced, meaning that the joints have become off-centre. This movement can create an obstruction within the drain and cause blockages. Drain displacement can also cause sewage and water to leak into the ground. In severe cases this can structurally undermine your foundations and cause damp within your building.
It is often possible to use a resin sectional repair which is placed within the existing sewer pipe. This avoids costly and disruptive ground excavation.
Repairs can consist of one drain joint with a resin sectional repair or multiple repairs including cracked drains or repair of holes within the drain. In some cases it is often more viable to insert a new resin lining along the complete length of a drain.
Resin repairs form a strong, structural repair that is stronger than the original pipe and have an expected product life in excess of 50 years.
AquaJet Drainage Ltd specialise in drain pipe descaling using high pressure water jetting techniques.
Our advanced hydro-jetting van has tools which are capable of cutting away scale deposits from your drains to provide thorough cleaning of the pipes.
This technique removes scale without the need to dig around the pipes which makes it a very cost-effective alternative to traditional drainage descaling solutions.
Drains and pipework are more likely to get scaled up in hard water areas, the South East of England is particularly affected by this.
Common symptoms include: bad smells emanating from kitchen sinks or bathroom wastes; back surges of dirty water into the kitchen sink or bath; reduced water flow; frequent blockages; and white stains on pipes, taps, showerheads, and sinks.
Homes often suffer from unexplained, nasty, sewer smells within the home. AquaJet Drainage can find the cause and eradicate this problem.
Smoke testing
A non-toxic smoke is forced through the drains entering your home. Our engineer will trace any smoke entering the home’s air space from the drain and recommend remedial action.
Dye testing
Often it can be confusing as to where drains are running. AquaJet Drainage introduce a non-toxic dye into the water at the source and this is traced to find its direction. This test helps identify live drains and also establish if a drain is shared.
AquaJet Drainage carry out a basic camera inspection where practicable before unblocking and also after the blockage has been cleared. When a blockage occurs it's helpful to know why. A camera inspection can answer these questions.
We also offer drain reports for home buyers, helping potential homeowners be well informed as to the condition and operation of a property’s drainage system, thus avoiding costly repairs later on.
Thinking of extending your home? Maybe you don’t know where your drains are running or what direction they take?
We can carry out a drain mapping survey using specialised equipment that can locate the direction and depth of clay or plastic drains down to a depth of 9 metres.
This is very useful in establishing the depth of any proposed excavation, thus being able to give accurate costings for repairs to be undertaken.
Keep rats out of your property.
Rats are, unfortunately, all around us, especially under the ground and in the sewer systems of our streets.
Your home drainage connects to the main sewer where rats are prolific. Rats can run through drains under and around your property often undetected and may find a way into your home via the toilet.
Having a rat inside your home is often a very frightening experience and if rats go undetected, they soon colonise and make
themselves a home.
AquaJet Drainage can install a rat gate to stop rats gaining access to your home through the toilet pipe. This device is very cost effective for the peace of mind it provides.
We can install the rat gate into most drains very quickly to protect you against exploring rodents. Rat gate is a humane device that simply stops rats entering your property. If a rat can’t find a food source it will go elsewhere.
